Over-pump System For Critical Pump Station Maintenance

To support essential maintenance for a water authority pump station, TerraTank supplied three of our TT70 high-capacity liquid storage tanks. Comprehensive pre-project planning by the client ensured all logistics, flow management strategies, and contingency measures were in place. This proactive approach enabled rapid mobilisation, smooth coordination, and full readiness for pump station isolation.

The Solution

A temporary over-pump system was installed to divert wastewater and sewerage flows into the TerraTank setup, creating robust buffer storage with multiple tanker loading points for streamlined flow control. A fleet of 25 tankers were strategically coordinated in continuous rotation, maintaining uninterrupted operation of the wastewater network, avoiding downtime or disruption to the surrounding residential area.

With the pump station fully isolated, all gate valves and non-return valves (NRVs) were swiftly replaced and commissioned, without compromising network integrity, despite site access constraints.
